Irish Children Help Belarusian Children for Special Christmas Holiday
Over fifty Irish children attended a novel ‘Halloween Party’ kindly hosted by ‘Little Ones’ crèche in Ballinacurra near Midleton in Co Cork, Ireland last bank holiday weekend to raise badly needed funds for Chernobyl Childen’s Trust.
The funds raised will be used to help bring a group of children from Chernobyl-affected areas of Belarus to Ireland for a special Christmas holiday.
The ‘Halloween Party’ was the brain child of Carol Murray who runs ‘Small Ones’ crèche and was an incredible success. All children and their parents dressed up in spooky costumes and were entertained with disco, face painting, fun and games. The entire premises were transformed and themed for the event as a witches cave. Witches arrived by broom just after darkness fell and cast their spooky spells with shrieks of laughter! There were numerous children’s prizes for the scariest and the hairiest costumes and a wonderful evening of entertainment was enjoyed by all ‘creatures’ both great and small!
